Liberia: Time for Truth, Justice and Reparation for Liberia's victims

In this document Amnesty International urges that the government takes steps to ensure that those alleged to have committed crimes under international law during Liberia's 14-year conflict are brought to justice. This follows the stand by the new president against impunity in requesting the return of former president Charles Taylor to be tried for crimes he is alleged to have committed against the Sierra Leonean people. The current government of Liberia needs to take a strong step now to address impunity so that the cycle of violence and human rights abuses come to an end.
