Sanad al-Kazimi is a Yemeni national who has been held without charge or trial in Guantánamo Bay in Cuba for the past three and a half years. In total, he has been detained without charge or trial for nearly five and a half years. One of the things this case sheet calls for is for Sanad al-Kazimi to be released from Guantánamo unless charged and tried in accordance with international standards of fairness in an independent, impartial and competent court, not a military commission.
