CIS: Amnesty International working against laws punishing sexual relations between men

Consenting sex between adult men is still criminalized in most of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States. AI is lobbying for repeal of the relevant laws. AI's position finds support in the decisions of several inter-governmental human rights mechanisms. This report contains a summary of the known situation regarding the griminalizations of consenting same-sex acts between adults in private in each of the eight CIS countries where this is an issue, with recommended actions and target addresses for lobbying.
