MEDIA INVITE - Bosnia and Herzegovina: Amnesty International launches report on ill-treatment in detention
(Sarajevo) Amnesty International will launch a report revealing disturbingly common practices of ill-treatment by police and prison guards in Bosnia and Herzegovina at a press conference in Sarajevo on 6 February.
The report, Bosnia and Herzegovina: "Better keep quiet": ill-treatment by the police and in prisons, points to a persistent culture of impunity among law enforcement and prison officials, as well as prosecutors, that is fuelling ill-treatment in contravention of Bosnia and Herzegovina's international and domestic obligations.
