Health Professional Network
The Health Professional Network (also known as HP Net) has groups active in many parts of the world.
Members of the network respond to actions, participate in campaigns, and in some cases contribute to AI’s research.
Activists employ a variety of campaigning techniques to raise awareness about particular human rights abuses and to press for positive change, including:
- letter writing to authorities
- writing articles and letters for publication
- writing to professional associations to press them to take a position in opposition to a human rights violation
- organising film and debate evenings
If you would like to receive more information about the Health Professional Network, please contact your national section or coordinating structure to find out whether there is a health professional group in your country.

Alternatively, send an email to health@amnesty.org in order to be provided with contact details or, if there is no such group in your country, more information on what you can do as an individual.
This work is part of Amnesty International's Demand Dignity campaign, which aims to end the human rights violations that drive and deepen global poverty. The campaign will mobilize people all over the world to demand that governments, corporations and others who have power listen to the voices of those living in poverty and recognise and protect their rights. For more information visit the Demand Dignity section.
