FURTHER RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Amnesty International has learned that John Ndebugre was released unconditionally late on Wednesday 18 December 1991. He is still suffering ill health as a result of his harsh conditions of detention, but has apparently not required hospital treatment and has returned to his home in Bawku, Upper East Region.

No further appeals required. Thank you to all those who sent appeals.
