GUINEA:Amadou Oury BAH, human rights activist, political leader

Amadou Oury Bah was released on 29 October 1992. He had apparently been arrested on the basis of a prisoner's testimony which alleged that he had been involved in an attempt to assassinate President Lansana Conté on 12 October. He was released shortly after the demonstration organised to protest against his arrest. It was reported that the testimony had been withdrawn and that there was no evidence against him.

No further action is required from the UA network. Thank you to all those who sent appeals on his behalf.
