SOUTH AFRICA Christinah BOIKHUTSO, a married woman aged 50

(Bophuthatswana):

and

Windvoel (Wendy or Windy) SKHOSANA

=============================================================================

Christinah Boikhutso was released from state of emergency detention in the nominally-independent "homeland" of Bophuthatswana on 7 September 1990. She had been detained on 25 August 1990 and held at Ga-Rankuwa police station. She was released without charge.

Windvoel Skhosana, who had been detained under the Bophuthatswana emergency regulations on 19 August 1990, was also released on 7 September 1990 and not earlier as had previously been thought. Following his release on 7 September he was immediately rearrested and held at Mabopane prison under the Bophuthatswana Internal Security Act. Charges were apparently brought against him but then withdrawn, and he was released uncharged on 10 September 1990.

No further action is required. Thank you to all who appealed on behalf of the above detainees.
