Fernando Villavicencio was released without charges in the late afternoon of 2 February.

He had been arrested by the security forces on 31 January, apparently for his legitimate involvement in organizing demonstrations and protests against the government’s economic policy.

No further action is required by the Urgent Action network. Many thanks to all those who sent appeals.
