UK: Launch of report into allegations of widespread rape in Kenya



Amnesty International has brought forward its press briefing into allegations from hundreds of women that they were raped by UK Army servicemen posted to Kenya between 1965 and 2001. Amnesty International will present its report into these allegations to the media at a press briefing. Martyn Day, Leigh, Day and Co. Solicitors will also be present at the press briefing.


Testimony from some of these women will be screened at the briefing. Broadcast journalists please note that a News Access Tape which includes interviews and testimony will be available at the press briefing, please request a copy when confirming your attendance.
