Amnesty International delegates are in Tbilisi to meet government officials and urge them to keep the eradication of torture and ill-treatment on their agenda as a priority issue. They will present them with the organization's report, Georgia: Torture and ill-treatment -- still a concern after the "Rose Revolution", which exposes practices such as police cover-ups and inappropriate investigations into allegations of torture and ill-treatment by police.


The delegates will present the findings of the report on torture and ill-treatment in Georgia and the results of their follow-up discussions with Georgian government officials at a meeting with journalists:
