AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL NOT LINKED TO NETHERLANDS-BASED ORGANIZATION USING SIMILAR NAME

Amnesty International has learned that another organization, reportedly based in The Netherlands, placed advertisements this week in Le Monde and Libèration using a name similar to its own, but concerning users and ex-users of drugs.

Amnesty International would like to clarify that the two organizations are not linked in any way. Amnesty International's Section in The Netherlands is reviewing possible legal action against this organization for the mis-use of its name.
