International Criminal Court: The contribution Africa can make to the Review Conference

In this paper, Amnesty International urges African states parties to renew the strong support that they gave to the proposal more than a decade ago to establish a permanent international criminal court that would be able to investigate and, where there was sufficient admissible evidence, to prosecute those responsible for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes being committed against African victims and victims throughout the world when their own states were unable or unwilling genuinely to investigate and prosecute.
