Cameroon: Further information on prisoner of conscience / fear of further POCs: Eyoum Ngangue

Eyoum Ngangue, a journalist working for the independent Le Messager newspaper, was arrested in Douala on 22 January 1997 and is currently being detained by the police. There is concern that his arrest may be part of the pattern of arrest and imprisonment of journalists in Cameroon for exercising their right to freedom of expression, and that he may be a prisoner of conscience.
