Tens of thousands of people have been made homeless after being forcibly evicted from their homes in N’Djamena, the capital of Chad, since February 2008. Houses and other structures have been demolished in several neighbourhoods. In this document Amnesty International is calling on the Chadian authorities: to cease all forced evictions; to pass a law prohibiting forced eviction; to ensure that victims have access to clean water, sanitation and health services; and to respect victims' rights to reparation and access to justice.
