Gambia: Write for rights 2010: Act now for Femi Peters

Femi Peters, Campaign Manager for the Gambian opposition United Democratic Party, was arrested during a peaceful demonstration organized by his party on 25 October 2009. He is currently serving a one-year sentence in poor conditions. He suffers from malaria and diabetes. Amnesty International considers him to be a prisoner of conscience and is calling for his immediate and unconditional release.
