Kenya: Submission to the United Nations Human Rights Committee

This briefing highlights main aspects of Amnesty International’s concerns in Kenya in relation to implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. The organization is particularly concerned about the failure of the Kenyan government to fully comply with its obligations with respect to persisting impunity for unlawful killings by police forces, unequal access to services for people living in informal settlements, discrimination and violence against women, ongoing discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, lack of protection of the rights of refugees and asylum seekers as well as forced evictions.
