Sudan: Submission to the United Nations Human Rights Committee: 111th session of the Human Rights Committee (7-25th July 2014)

Amnesty International remains concerned at Sudan’s failure to comply with its obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, particularly in relation to unlawful killings and attacks against civilians in conflict-affected areas, arbitrary arrests and detentions under the National Security Act, the situation of internally displaced persons, discrimination and violence against women and girls, restrictions on freedom of conscience and religion and of expression, assembly, and association.
