Colombia: Fear for safety: death threats against human rights activists

Human rights activists working for the Corporacion Regional para la Defensa de los Derechos Humanos (CREDHOS), are reported recently to have received death threats by telephone. The CREDHOS office's telephone lines in Barrancabermeja, Santander Department, are reportedly being constantly tapped, are are the home telephone number of CREDHOS workers. The offices are also reported to be kept under constant surveillance. Since its foundation, six members of CREDHOS have been killed and three are in exile.
