Cuba: Recent arrests of possible prisoners of conscience

Amnesty International is concerned about the arrest of the four people named below. All of them are thought to be probable prisoners of conscience, detained for peacefully expressing their anti-government views. The four are: Miguel Angel Sordo Qunitanilla, believed still to be held at the Departamento de Seguridad del Estado (DSE) for investigation on charges of “enemy propaganda”; Jose Antonio Garay Callejas, reported to be in detention in Santiago de Cuba, awaiting trial for “enemy propaganda”; Armando Rodriguez Rodriguez and Alfredo Yanez Marquez, detentied awaiting trial on charges of “enemy propaganda” in Combinado del Este Prison, Havana.
