AI is concerned about the draft law which was presented to the Legislative Assembly on 15 March 1993 and is to be voted upon on 18 March. If passed, this law would grant a sweeping amnesty to those responsible for human rights abuses, committed on a massive scale during the civil war in El Salvador (1980-1992).
