There is concern for the safety of 33-year-old human rights defender, Dora Emperatriz Oliva Guifarro. On 5 July 1999 she was abducted by gunpoint and detained for two hours by two men, reportedly paramilitaries, who threatened to kill her. Dora Oliva works for the Comite de Familiares de Detenidos-Desaparecidos en Honduras (COFADEH).
