Mexico: Further information on fear for safety/use of excessive force/ fear of torture/ ill-treatment/ Arbitrary detention

In recent days, the climate of violence in Oaxaca has further escalated. Alejandro García Hernández and Pánfilo Hernández, supporters of the Popular Assembly of the People of Oaxaca, , have been shot and killed by gunmen and others (Ramiro Aragón Pérez (m), Germán Mendoza Nube (m) and Abraham Martínez Alave) have been injured. Amnesty International is concerned other protesters may experience similar attacks by unidentified gunmen.
