In this letter, Amnesty International raises questions and concerns about serious and widespread violations of human rights in Mexico. These violations intensified under the previous administration and continue to be committed with the greatest impunity. The Pact for Mexico and commitments made on 10 December, are positive steps on the path of establishing a State policy that prioritises human rights protection. It is essential that the government move ahead with this from the very start and clearly define the measures to be taken.
