This submission highlights Amnesty International’s concerns in relation to the complete ban on abortion, with no exceptions, even when the life of the woman is at grave risk from continuation of the pregnancy or she is a victim of rape. The submission contains recommendations for improvement, in accordance with the Nicaraguan States’ obligations under the United Nations Covenant on Economic Social and Cultural Rights.
