Bangladesh: Further information on death penalty / imminent execution

Shayek Abdur Rahman, Siddikul Islam, alias Bangla Bhai, and four other men were executed on 30 March. Officials said that the six were hanged two weeks ahead of schedule for "security reasons". The President had rejected a petition for clemency on 4 March.
