Tenzin Deleg Rinpoche, the former abbot of Wutuo temple, was sentenced to death, suspended for two years, in December 2002. The period of suspension will expire on 2 December: either he will be executed, or his sentence will be commuted to life imprisonment, depending on a report on his behaviour in prison, submitted to provincial prosecutors by the prison authorities.
