The two men named above were sentenced to death on 15 November 1990 for drug trafficking. An appeal heard on 23 March 1994 by the Supreme Court has now upheld their sentences. A third man, Mohamed Ruslay Zakaria, had his sentence commuted to ten years’ imprisonment.
