There is concern at reports that Anton Mitkov Dimitrov, a 14-year-old schoolboy, was severely ill-treated by police officers in Sliven on 29 March 1996. Similar incidents of ill-treatment have occurred repeatedly and there is concern at what seems to have become a pattern of police violence.
