Cyprus: Imprisonment of conscientious objectors : Nikos Andrea Kalogirou, Charalambos Iosia Charalambous, Avelinos Iosia Charalambous

On 17 October 1994, Nicosia Military Court sentenced 21-year-old Jehovah’s Witness Nikos Andrea Kalogirou to six months imprisonment for refusing to perform compulsory military service. The same day, Charalambos Iosia and Avelinos Iosia Charalambos were sentenced by the same court to eight and five months respectively. They are also Jehovah’s Witnesses.
