Amnesty International submits the following information to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, in advance of its examination of Finland’s seventh periodic report in February 2014. The submission focuses on the following issues: legal gender recognition and discrimination of trans individuals; violence against women; trafficking for the purposes of sexual exploitation; and health in forced removals.
