United Kingdom: Joint NGO letter to Intelligence and Security Committee

In this open letter, non-governmental organizations reiterate their concerns about the role of the Intelligence and Security Committee (ISC) in the investigation of the treatment of detainees and the UK involvement in rendition. The concerns raised in their previous letter of 25 March 2014 remain unaltered and have not been allayed by the Foreign Secretary’s response. Consequently, these organizations, as a collective of domestic and international non-governmental organizations, do not propose to play a substantive role in the conduct of this inquiry.
