The Russian authorities are now known to have forcibly returned Rustam Tulaganovich Muminov to Uzbekistan on 24 October, despite the fact that an appeal against this was pending with the Moscow City Court. The European Court of Human Rights had asked the Russian authorities not to return him until they had completed a further investigation of the case. His whereabouts are now unknown
