In this submission, prepared for the Universal Periodic Review of Lithuania in October 2011, Amnesty International raises concerns about homophobic legislation, including the Law on the Protection of Minors against the Detrimental Effect of Public Information, amendments to the Administrative Code, and the Law on Provision of Public Information. Amnesty International also expresses concerns about Lithuania’s accountability for complicity in the US-led rendition and secret detention programmes.
