In this joint submission to the UN Human Rights Committee for the 108th session, Amnesty International and the Coalition against Torture of Tajikistan, a coalition uniting 14 NGOs across Tajikistan, express concerns in relation to torture and other ill-treatment in Tajikistan. This document highlights recent developments and cases that are illustrative of Amnesty International and the Coalition against Torture’s concerns about the failure of the authorities in Tajikistan to comply with its obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
