Kosovo (Serbia): Justice for the Kumnova family and friends [Case card on enforced disappearances and abductions]

During the armed conflict in Kosovo in 1999, Serbian police forced their way into the yard of the Kumnova family home. Six men were forcibly taken away and never seen alive again. Five of their bodies were subsequently exhumed in 2001. The Serbian authorities have the responsibility to investigate the enforced disappearances in 1999 of ethnic Albanians and others. This case card urges the authorities to investigate the enforced disappearance of members of the Kumnova, Efendia, Deva, Bunjaku and Binishi families and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
