Kosovo (Serbia): Justice for the Dana family [Case card on enforced disappearances and abductions]

In May 1999, during the armed conflict, Serbian police officers forced their way into the home of the Kosovo-Albanian Dana family. Six men from the family were forcibly taken away and never seen alive again. Their bodies were subsequently exhumed in Serbia. The Serbian authorities have the responsibility to investigate the enforced disappearances in 1999 of ethnic Albanians and others. This case card urges the authorities to investigate the enforced disappearance and killing of members of the Dada family and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
