The 52nd session of the UN Commission on Human Rights will meet in Geneva from 18 March to 26 April 1996. This document lists AI’s concerns regarding the human rights situation in China, Colombia, Indonesia/East Timor, Nigeria and Turkey. These will be raised as a matter of priority at the session. Other concerns to be raised include the draft Declaration on human rights defenders, the draft Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture and women’s human rights.
