Open Letter to all United Nations Member States: Secure access to justice for all human rights

In this open letter, 300 civil society organizations and thousands of individuals call on all UN Members to take the necessary steps to become a party to the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights when it opens for signature on 24 September 2009. The NGO Coalition for an Optional Protocol calls on governments to help ensure that access to justice and the right to an effective remedy become a reality for all victims of human rights violations.
