In this document Amnesty International makes recommendations to the African Union Heads of State and Government (AU Assembly) to demonstrate its commitment to fight impunity for human rights violations by amending the Protocol establishing the African Court of Justice and Human Rights in order to allow full and direct access for individuals and NGOs before the Court. Amnesty International also considers that the AU Assembly is uniquely placed to address the deteriorating human rights situation in Zimbabwe.
