Egypt: Fighting for justice and human rights: Egypt’s women activists describe their struggle

In Egypt today, the human rights of women are under threat. Women in Egypt continue to suffer sexual and gender-based violence, as well as discrimination in law and practice. Women activists are challenging impunity for human rights abuses, combating sexual harassment and working on many other issues. They are standing up for their rights and are undeterred by repression. This report features seven women activists fighting for justice and human rights in Egypt who spoke to Amnesty International and described their struggle and hopes.
