Amir Yaghoub-Ali was sentenced to one year's imprisonment which, after his appeal, was suspended for four years. In another case, four other members of the Campaign for Equality, Parvin Ardalan, Jelveh Javaheri, Maryam Hosseinkhah and Nahid Kesharvarz, have appealed against their sentence of six months’ imprisonment. This case sheet asks the government authorities to ensure that their appeals are heard promptly and impartially and for a review of the suspended sentence.
