Saudi Arabia: A secret state of suffering

This report, produced as part of Amnesty International’s Program of Action on Saudi Arabia, examines the systematic violation of human rights that occurs in Saudi Arabia on a daily basis. These violations include arbitrary arrest and detention, the persecution of political opponents and religious minorities, torture (including corporal punishment and judicial amputations) and the death penalty. The death penalty section of the report includes statistics on the number of executions since 1980. The report concludes with Amnesty International’s recommendations to the Saudi Arabian Government.
