World is 'winning' battle against death penalty despite setbacks - 25 February 2010
Amnesty International's interim Secretary General has hailed recent global efforts to end the death penalty but warned that more needs to be done to achieve the goal of full abolition. Speaking at an anti-death penalty summit in Geneva, Amnesty International's interim Secretary General Claudio Cordone hailed global efforts but said more needs to be done.
