Forced eviction in Zimbabwe

5 October 2009

Video placeholder

Short film on forced evictions in Zimbabwe. In 2005, the government of Zimbabwe carried out a programme of mass forced evictions, known as Operation Murambatsvina. The destruction left hundreds of thousands of people without their homes, their livelihoods or both.

This video was produced as part of an initiative by Amnesty International in the Netherlands to work with local African film production companies to document the realities of forced evictions for people living on the continent.
