Soledad García Muñoz

Soledad, who is from Argentina, is a Professor of International Law and also of Gender and Women´s Rights at the Universidad Nacional in La Plata, Argentina. She is also a consultant for the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights (San Jose, Costa Rica) and for other important human rights institutions. She was the chair of Amnesty International Argentina from 2003 to 2005. Previously she has been a member of Amnesty International's Chairs Forum Steering Committee.  She was elected to the IEC in August 2005 and elected as vice-chair in September 2007.
