Amnesty International is an unincorporated global movement that consists of national branches throughout the world and an International Secretariat whose main office is in London.

Financial information about each of Amnesty International's national entities is available from the relevant national secretariat.

The work carried out through Amnesty International's International Secretariat is organised into two legal entities, in compliance with United Kingdom law.  These are Amnesty International Limited ("Amnesty International L") and Amnesty International Charity Limited ("Amnesty International CL"). Amnesty International Limited undertakes charitable activities on behalf of Amnesty International Charity Limited, a registered charity.

The audited financial statements cover  the operation of the International Secretariat working through the two entities and take the form of audited Statements of Financial Activities and Balance Sheets for the year ended 31 March 2011.

Each of these 2010/2011 financial statements received an unqualified audit report and have been approved by the directors.
