Amnesty International has just learned that Manuel Sahanda Neto, who had not been seen since reportedly being forcibly returned to Angola, has contacted the Namibian National Society of Human Rights in Namibia and informed them that he is in the southern Angolan city of Lubango. Although it is known that he is not in detention, no further information concerning his situation has become available.

No further action is required by the Urgent Action network at present. Thank you very much to all who sent appeals on Manuel Neto’s behalf.
