Bruno Bahati was provisionally released on 8 July from the "Chien méchant" ("Dangerous Dog") unofficial military detention centre in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo.

According to reports, he was not tortured while he was held at the centre, but Amnesty International is still investigating reports that he was tortured in military custody in Kigali, Rwanda, before he was moved to Goma.

No further action is required by the UA network at this stage. Thanks to all who sent appeals.
