Amnesty International has received unconfirmed reports that the three Salvadorians reportedly arrested in Honduras in November 1990 were deported to El Salvador in December 1990.
The three named above, all tradesmen (comerciantes) from Chaltenango, El Salvador, were detained without a judicial arrest warrant (sin orden judicial) on 12 November 1990 in Honduras by soldiers of the Honduran army.
However, the Battalion where they were said to have been taken denied holding them, and there were fears that they would be killed or "disappeared".
The organization is seeking further information about this case, but in the meantime no further action is required. Thank you to those who sent appeals on their behalf.
